Bring your sense of adventure and travel with our expert staff through different ecosystems across Texas, our country and even the world! Each experience will be unique and allow guests a first hand view of wildlife in their wildest setting.
Riverside Ecosystem Exploration (March 10th-18th)
Texas Zoo’s Conservation Education Department is offering an opportunity for people of all ages to participate in collecting data on Texas wildlife in Riverside Park. The Texas Zoo is creating a database that will allow us to collect information to monitor wildlife in the park. All data collected will be put into a database with open access to everyone for future studies.
- Explore Riverside Park with a Texas Zoo Conservation Educator
- Identify and record plants, animals and animal tracks
- Enjoying zoo refreshments and a special live animal encounter on the zoo grounds
- Tour the zoo at your leisure
Recommended to Bring: Reusable water bottles, cameras, binoculars and your sense of adventure!
What to wear: The entirety of this program will take place outdoors in possibly muddy environments and guests are encouraged to dress appropriately. Closed toed shoes and bug spray/sunscreen applied before arrival are highly recommended.
Time: We offer two sessions at 10AM and 2PM. Please arrive at the zoo 15 minutes before program start time.
